The time is 6:30 PM August 14. I have a “permit” in the works for the bonfire. Looks as though we need to consider the hot dog option. Because that will be a long night without food. We could do hot dogs, chips and drinks. I can supply the soft drinks and maybe the cups. (plan for 150 should be safe, I hope) More to come in class….
He and his wife are missionaries to this far off land. He sometimes wears a beard to fit into the culture. He travels all through the country and neighboring areas teaching pastors and lay pastor about the scriptures and how to be more effective in their ministries. He has a special light in his eyes when he talks about his ministry and both he and his wife are very special. Before he was a missionary he was a church janitor. Who is this missionary?
Missionaries to Hawaii, to be precise and they are associated with Baptist Mid-Missions. Ron and Elena have 2 grown children. They have been missionaries 25+ years in Hawaii for 2 churches. A few years ago they “retired” and took another church on another island. Soon they hope to have their church to be self-supporting. This is a big challenge due to the high cost of real estate; a small house could cost up to a million dollars. And property with a decent amount of land for parking and such would be beyond our belief.
