Missionaries to Hawaii, to be precise and they are associated with Baptist Mid-Missions. Ron and Elena have 2 grown children. They have been missionaries 25+ years in Hawaii for 2 churches. A few years ago they “retired” and took another church on another island. Soon they hope to have their church to be self-supporting. This is a big challenge due to the high cost of real estate; a small house could cost up to a million dollars. And property with a decent amount of land for parking and such would be beyond our belief.

Next ABF Class (April 8) we will have a little quiz. Here’s the subject matter, missionaries and where they serve and a little about them. So do you research and dig deep in your memories for some interesting facts (well fact or maybe some vague memories you can recall). What I’ll do is post a little factoid about a missionary every day or so with a link to the CIA website. (the best, most imformative country fact and info site going).

What’s this about? It’s an idea in my ABF teachers manual and it will fit with the next few lessons. How to reach other cultures for Christ. We’ll talk about different ways or approaches needed to reach them.

Stay tuned…

First missionaries, an easy one-the Englands.  Second one is a mystery, you’ll have to guess who it is by the facts and hints.
